Head of FRWO said that the most important component for making Iran strong and green is preservation of water and soil resources and vegetation cover.

According to FRWO’s website, the Green National Initiative held its launch meeting with the slogan of "Each Iranian Should Plant a Tree and in Memory of Every Martyr a Thousand Trees " on Wednesday in Mashhad, the Holy City of Iran on Wednesday. Massoud Mansour, Head of FRWO in this meeting said: "Today, our country is facing various challenges in terms of climate and drought, so that Iran receives less than a third of the world's average precipitation, and on the other hand, water evaporation rate is three times larger than the world average."  

Explaining the climatic situation of the country, Mansour referred to the soil erosion in Iran and said: "There are 16 tons per hectare of soil erosion in the country annually and many cities and villages are prone to flash floods, sand dune and dust storms and these problems today can be solved only by the participation of the people and the executive apparatus".

Head of FRWO reiterated that The Secretariat of Supreme National Security Council has compiled a document entitled the Taiba Family Tree Document, under which there are 30 supporting appendices, in which achieving biosecurity and national cohesion in the land restoration is one of the most important goals envisaged in this document.
